Hamilton Stops:

Temporarily Halted due to COVID-19

One to two times a month, Pads 4 People joins the Salvation Army Food Truck and travels to locales with high rates of poverty in London and Hamilton, Ontario, to deliver menstrual hygiene products directly to individuals in need. We distribute one-month supply packages with pads and tampons, illustrated in the image to the right. By directly handing out our packages to folks in need in the areas they are known to be, we ensure our packages reach the hands of people who can otherwise not access or afford menstrual products.

How we do it

Contact us if you are interested in collaborating!

By partnering with like-minded organizations, we have tabled at events such as the Women's Studies Student Council's annual Feminist Mixer and the Western Women's Wellness Symposium. We have also hosted fundraisers including a charity bar night at Ceeps, a local bar in London, ON. However, Pads 4 People has survived and thrived as a result of donations from generous folks in our communities. Simply put, our mission to end menstrual inequality would not be possible without YOUR help.

Why we do it

To break down barriers!

Many individuals cannot access feminine hygiene products, even when provided by other well-intentioned programs and institutions because of the following reasons:

  • physical disability or impairment

  • lack of transportation

  • extensive documentation required by programs for access to menstrual hygiene products

  • the lack of resources to keep the feminine hygiene products dry and clean

  • and many more...

As such, there is a significantly large population that relies on Pads 4 People for menstrual hygiene products. One day, we hope that these products will be considered a fundamental human right, but until then, we strive to break down barriers.
